ABOUT DAVE CAIRNS

I started filmmaking in 2000 with a group of friends in Melbourne, Australia. Over the past 19 years, I have become a professional short filmmaker and content producer in several capacities, including seven years as the Media Producer for Salvo Studios, the media production team for The Salvation Army in Australia. And as Production Manager at Umbrella Entertainment, I have gained knowledge of the Australian film industry and experience with multiple stages of production.

Especially noted for my writing and character work, I have experience in a wide range of media content styles and corporate media production.

I am highly focused on producing quality material that is entertaining, informative and challenging to a wide range of audiences. I have a depth of experience managing production teams, a range of projects and complex budgets. I am particularly focused on how media can be used as an avenue for social and personal change.
